Our first step after launch of the site was to position the site in local and International search engines. We have a very specific way of doing the Meta tags and this resulted in the traffic generated during January. We utilized the multimedia (Web video clip) to promote this site and capture the visitors' attention (ref. Kbytes down loaded). At the same time, we updated the content once every two weeks. Visitors realized that this site is worth book marking as the content changed frequently enough and the articles were interesting.

Every month a new feature was added to the site which prompted visitors to return. We started to receive a lot of compliments and even managed to get one of our subscribers to contribute to the newsletter and the site's content, proving to the International community that we have support Internationally (Credibility). This resulted in an International sale (signed and sealed) within the first four months since launch of the site. This is an indication that the emphasis on this site shifted from the multimedia feature to the actual content - comparing this with the repeat visitor rate confirms that our visitors now return to the site for the information made available vs the initial feature that brought them to the site.

This client is based in South Africa with the United States and Europe as their target market. The web site was launched in January 2001 and contains multimedia material.

We discussed their business plan and determined the targeted amount of traffic that we need in order to obtain the sales they required from the site. It was decided that we will use the multimedia material to introduce the business to the International market.
